Focus Artist : Todd Sucherman
Artist News - 06.16.05 9:40 AM
What is your current project?
My main gig has been with Styx for just about the past ten years. We've been out on the road pretty hard for the last five and a half years. The new record "Big Bang Theory" comes out in May and it's a record of covers. I have to say that it really surpassed any expectation that I had – it's really smokin'. We had a hit with the live version of "I Am the Walrus" and the folks at Universal encouraged a whole CD, so that's what we did. I try to keep busy doing other projects and sessions. I did most of the tracks on jazz saxophonist Steve Cole's new CD that's out in April. We just did drum tracks for my wife's (Taylor Mills) last week. I had a big thrill appearing on Brian Wilson's record from last June and I got to be on tracks with Paul McCartney, Elton John and Eric Clapton. That was a buzz!
